We are also scheduled to meet Dr Robert Pleming next week. He instigated and raised the funds for the ‘Vulcan to the Sky’ project and is still very much involved with keeping that icon of the British aircraft industry airborne. We are meeting him to pick his brains about the best way to raise funds and also learn some of the pitfalls of getting a vintage aircraft in the air. Should be an interesting meet and it will go a long way towards helping us in our quest.
